Maidensbridge Pupil Voice

The pupil's voice at Maidensbridge Primary School is always heard and valued as we have established various pupil groups who regularly meet to help the school develop now and in the future.

Here are some of the ways our pupils can get their voice heard:

School Council - Two members from every class are elected each September to serve a term as School Councillors. The School Council meets at least half termly and discusses a range of issues that are of concerned to the children. The School Council also raises money in support of the Project Gambia charity. Our chair of governors is invited to observe these meetings so she/he can provide feedback to other governors.

Junior Leadership Team - Our Junior leadership Team is group which works closely with the school's Senior leadership Team in consulting on some school policy and ethos issues. This group meets monthly with the Deputy Headteacher.

School Sports Committee - This group consists of elected House Captains and may have co-opted members to ensure gender balance. The role of this committee is to plan, organise and develop school sport within school. This group will meet every half term.

Anti-bullying Ambassadors - These are children who have been trained by the Diana Award to be Anti-bullying Ambassadors. These children use their experience of Anti-bullying Ambassadors on the playgrounds to help the school to maintain our safe and caring playgrounds as well as help the school develop its Anti-bullying policies.
