Maidensbridge took a large contingent of forty children to represent the school at The Dudley Schools' Gymnastics Competition at The Ellowes School on Friday 12th April 2019.
Entering a record nine team in the event, the children were given a chance to showcase their routines that some of them have been developing in our various Gymnastics Clubs this year. Nearly half of the Maidensbridge contingent was draw from our Year 1 and 2 classes who were representing the school as four different teams.
The children represented the school extremely well and did their very best on the day, with our Year 1 /2 'A' team achieving an brilliant third place out of a field of over thirty teams. Well done to Ava, Fallon, Tilly-Rose, Summer and Elizabeth for their achievement!
With all other age categories contested by over thirty teams, our children achieved the following results:
Years 1/2: Team A (3rd) , Team B (18th), Team C (22nd) and Team D (23rd)
Years 3/4: Team A (15th), Team B (27th)
Years 5/6: Team A (10th), Team B (21st)
These results are very encouraging indeed as we have a lot of children who have represented the school for the very first time, as well as a large number of children from Year 1, 3 and 5 who have had to learn a completely new routine to perform this year!
